The Polytechnic School of Chimborazo (ESPOCH), in collaboration with the Dean's Office of Academic Development, carried out an important event to evaluate the interpersonal skills of 800 educators as part of a comprehensive professional and personal development process. This diagnostic process, carried out through a series of individual assessments, aimed to identify and strengthen the interpersonal competencies of educators, essential for their performance and to improve the quality of education at the institution.

The project employed a comprehensive methodology for measuring competencies, enabling each educator to conduct a self-assessment of their interpersonal skills. This approach not only provided a clear understanding of the development level of each competency, but also facilitated a personalized learning process, where participants received precise guidelines to improve and strengthen their skills.

To carry out this diagnosis, synchronous sessions were designed, that included PowerPoint presentations, discussion groups in Zoom classrooms and workbooks, all focused on promoting reflection and active learning among participants. In addition, the synchronous sessions were complemented with asynchronous training material that included self-development activities, readings, videos, film excerpts and discussion forums, allowing teachers to put their learning into practice and progress in their training process flexibly.

This effort is part of ESPOCH's commitment to continue promoting the academic and professional development of its faculty, ensuring that they have the necessary tools and skills to meet the challenges of today's educational environment. With this initiative, the institution continues to reaffirm its commitment to continuous improvement and educational quality, always seeking excellence in the education of its students.

The comprehensive training of teachers is not only a key step in their personal and professional development, but also a fundamental strategy to improve the quality of education that students receive at ESPOCH.
